Oliver Jones

From Head Chef to Cybersecurity Professional

I share what I've learned about cybersecurity, career transitions, and building security skills from scratch.

Who Am I?

I'm Oliver Jones, a cybersecurity professional with a culinary background. Before security, I spent 3 years working in restaurants, starting as a dishwasher and working my way up to Head Chef at Sumo Restaurant in Oslo.

In early 2025, I made a career switch that many thought was impossible. I quit my job as Head Chef and dedicated myself to cybersecurity. Through focused study and practice, I earned my OSCP certification in just 7 months.

I hope to help others make similar transitions by sharing what I've learned about cybersecurity, study methods, and career development.
